And they say Barra are one of the best jumping/tail walking fish. Well yes they are very good at trying to get rid of your lure by flying through the air but one of the best tail walking fish I caught on the trip was a reasonable sized Threadfin Salmon (approx 85-90cm). Once hooked the fish had 3 good runs and spent a good 2-3m during each run walking with its tail across the water while thrashing its head about to try and shake free of my lure. Luckily the fisherman won the battle on this occasion as seen by the attached pic. Thankyou Threadfin Salmon for putting on a good show and fight in the absence of a quality Barra. I believe this was the largest Thready taken on the trip so I am stoked with that also

, this fish was also released to carry on fighting.
Thanks for a great trip and lots of quality fish go to Jamie Flett (Mudeye Lures), Phil Weidemier (Phil's Affordable Barra Tours), Peter & Terry (Territory Guided Fishing) and Mick & Emma (Anglers Choice)
