Fishing Story 2

"Now Mudeye Lures are my favourite lures"

The story of how I caught this fish starts when I went out to Joseph Wills Park one day. I was in the first hole when I cast my Tasie Devil over a little tree hanging over the water and it got snagged. I went to try to find it. When I stood on the tree I saw a green and black thing bobbing in the water so I picked it up.

There was another kid that was out there who told me that it was a Mudeye scout made by Jamie Flett, but I didn't take much notice. So back to the story, when I picked up the lure I put it on my line and took it for a spin. On the first cast I got it snagged on another bit of line. So I had to snap it off. Then about 9 months later I went back out there with my mum, dad and brother and because I knew

exactly where it was I took out half a blue drum ( that we used as a boat) and paddled out and got it.

Then about three weeks later I went back out with my mum and brother for a picnic so I thought I would take my rod with my mudeye out with me thinking I wouldn't catch any thing any way. So I went over and did a perfect cast under a shady tree, Then I did it again so I called over to my brother and said "watch this" as the lure hit the water the third time I started to reel it in and I felt this hit on my lure, and I thought it was just a rock or something and as I kept winding in I knew I had a fish and as I got it closer to the bank I realized it was a 1.5 kg cod, and now Mudeye Lures are my favorite lures.
