The Dumaresq River

The Dumaresq has a number of tributaries before it is called the Dumerique. The Severn which begins near Stanthorpe, the Deepwater river which starts above Deepwater and runs into the Mole river. The junction of the Mole and Severn is where the Dumerique starts.

Not far below this junction Pikes creek which runs out of Glen Lyon Dam, runs into the Dumaresq, The Beardy river also runs into the Dumaresq around forty kilometers above Bonshaw. Ten Kilometers down stream of Bonshaw is the Bonshaw Weir a great place for camping and the home of some very big Murray Cod.

From the Weir the river runs through Texas, Yelarbon and then into the Macintyre not far from Goondiwindi.
